Surveillance drones in the hands of trained IDF operators — Avata quad-copters for tunnels and shattered structures, EVO 4T thermal drones for the skies. Giving commanders eyes before they commit troops.

To achieve complete victory and find the hostages, Israel’s soldiers are going blind into the deep nightmare of mazes, tunnels, and shattered structures of Gaza, where they face a myriad of unseeable dangers: tunnel shafts, and dark corridors where terrorists lie in wait with RPGs and hand grenades. Booby-trapped rooms and doorways that explode when a searching unit enters have already cost so many lives.
These types of search maneuvers remain one of the highest-risk and most critical operations of the war. Defeating the enemy and finding the hostages very much rely on soldiers entering these high-risk zones. Having them do so safely is the goal of the 4Sight Drone Program. Giving commanders in the field the ability to see into these spaces before they commit troops saves lives.
Surveillance drones are being used successfully in civil and military conflicts the world over. In Gaza, the IDF has access to only a small number of these drones — far too few to cover the many soldiers and units deployed there.

Seeing inside first
The EVO 4T thermal
On a different part of the battlefield, a war is being waged for control of the skies. As we have so tragically seen on the Lebanon front, missiles launched from across the border can land with deadly impact. These missiles, not susceptible to the Iron Dome defense system, are launched from fortified and mobile launchers that can be spotted from the sky with the help of a thermal drone — sometimes even before the missiles are launched. With incursions from Syria as well, fortifying the squadron of thermal drones is critically important.
Hostage Rescue — air surveillance drones were key
A message received from the commander of the unit involved, June 8, 2024:
Friends, updating you. After a month and a half of working together with all the units that took part in the planning and rescue — and with your tools — 4 of our hostages were rescued! Without your tools it would have been very difficult to accomplish our goals. I wanted you to know and to understand how much your donated equipment impacted our success.
And a message from another soldier the foundation worked with:
Shavua tov! I just wanted to let you know where your drones went to. When I was talking about a big operation, this is what I was talking about. Thank you again, and to many more bright news like this one.
